My Relationship with Food - Module 1

Establishing a healthy relationship with food is key to long-term PCOS management, allowing other approaches like supplementation and lifestyle changes to have a more meaningful impact. Approaching food and your body from a place of self-appreciation enhances overall health.

Disordered eating differs from eating disorders in its rigidity around food, often involving strict rules about eating for weight control or wellness. Disordered eating may not center around weight but still disrupts normal eating patterns. In contrast, eating disorders are diagnosable psychological conditions where eating behaviors become so rigid that they dominate a person’s life.

Health can exist at any size, as shown by the Health at Every Size philosophy, and intuitive eating encourages eating based on the body's internal cues rather than external rules.
